A market-leading global business needs an attorney to lead transactions both in Japan and internationally, including corporate, finance and private equity.

Responsibilities:	Provide legal advice to business team members. Draft, review and negotiate investment documentation and other legal documentation. Monitor new laws and regulations and any significant regulatory/industry developments and update team members and management. Work independently but also as a team player. Participate and contribute to training, workgroups and other meetings as required.
Requirements:	Experience on corporate and/or finance transactions. Ability to work effectively with internal and external clients in Japan and globally. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of seniority and from different cultures. Willingness to take ownership of assigned matters or projects. Qualified lawyer licensed in Japan.
Preferred Skills:	Wide range of legal experience including corporate transactions M&A transactions and financings including experience managing and leading significant transactions. Confident not only in advising on legal issues related to the coverage area but also managing relationships with and expectations of business people and management.
Language:	Native level Japanese and business level English ability.
Other:	Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of seniority and from different cultures. Willingness to take ownership of assigned matters or projects. Have a proactive and can-do attitude. Detail-oriented and the ability to act with perspective.
